Believe, When I say…

Every afternoon I make a phone call
Listen to the voice that warms my heart
I drag myself through a few more hours
Then head on home to try and beat the dark
Her smile will be right there
when I step through that door
And it will be that way tomorrow,
just like everyday before

It's ordinary plain and simple
Typical, this everyday love
Same ol', same ol' keeping it new
Emotional, so familiar
Nothing about it too peculiar
Oh, but I can't get enough
Of this everyday love

What qualities should love possess to know that it is true and long lasting? This is a debatable subject, but I doubt anyone would argue this simple truth:

You know its love when:

  • You are completely comfortable singing with each other,
  • You are completely comfortable singing Backstreet Boys “I Want It That Way” with each other (and sounding pretty good I might add),
  • You take turns on solo parts to let the other person have their fun,
  • And most importantly: There is silence at the climax of the song when one of the guys sings really loud “Don’t Wanna Hear You Say…” because each of you were letting the other person have it.

No one who ever saw you and Liz together could doubt you have a true love.

That said, I wouldn't mind witnessing this Backstreet Boys performance.
